2. India increased the number of visits allowed per Malaysian Visa.

India simplifies its Visa System for Malaysians. As per the reports, the country aims at strengthening its tourist system so the changes apply to e-tourist and e-business Visa only. Malaysians can stay in our country as long as they want.
Plus, the country has increased the number of visits allowed per visa in order to improve India’s economy with an aim to liberalize doing business. It is likely that the South Asian country will also ease its Visa System for Indians.
As quoted by New Straits Times –“Earlier immigrants were allowed to enter the country only twice within 120 days of the issuance of the Electronic Travel Authorization or ETA with a stay valid for 60 days only.”  But now, as per the new improvements in Visa System, Visa would be valid for 1 year from the date of issue and multiple entries would be allowed for Malaysians. The Indian Embassy has also given its confirmation over this statement.
The tourist eVisa fee for Malaysians traveling to India in 2018 was RM200 but on June 25, 2018, it has been increased to RM320 by the Indian Embassy. The cheaper 6-month Visa of RM195 was replaced by the 1-year Visa of RM462.56 in this process. Single/multiple-entry Tourist Visa fee for up to one year visa would cost US$100 whereas for 5 years validity visa travelers have to pay US$200 and its fee does not include any service charge.
However, other types of Visas are not affected by the revised Visa System.
Malaysia is the 6th top tourist generating market with a total of 552,739 Indian Tourists recorded in 2017. Last year, a significant increase around 500,000 tourists was reported. Hopefully, Visa system changes would also give a boost to the Tourist market of India.
